Description:
I am a licensed psychologist in MA who specializes in treating body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs, such as hair pulling, skin picking, etc.) and other obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. I completed the TLC Foundation's professional training institute and received year-long specialty training in evidence-based treatments for BFRBs in graduate school under the expert supervision of Ruth Golomb and Dr. Charles Mansueto at the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington. I further specialized in obsessive compulsive and related disorders (including BFRBs) on internship, postdoctoral fellowship, and as an Assistant Professor at the Massachusetts General Hospital & Harvard Medical School's Center for OCD and Related Disorders. Now, alongside my private practice I am Clinical Research Director at HabitAware, Inc., an organization focused on developing innovative tools to support people in their BFRB recovery.
Treatment methods:
I have a telehealth-based practice through which I offer cognitive and behavioral treatments for body-focused repetitive behaviors, incorporating habit reversal therapy (HRT) and comprehensive behavioral treatment (ComB) approaches.
