How Does it Work? Sessions, Worksheets and Self Monitoring.
The TrichStop program is comprised of 8 sessions. Each session takes on average about an hour to complete. We recommend completing not more than one session per week, in order to let the material set in, and to practice what you’ve learned.
Between sessions you will communicate with your assigned therapist via specially designed worksheets. Communication via the worksheets is text based and secure. In these worksheets you will discuss with your therapists topics that were covered in the last session, as well as your progress and any specific difficulties you might have.
Throughout the program, and especially during the first few sessions, you will be instructed to use the self-monitoring App to document your behaviors. This will allow you to become more aware of your pulling, to recognize patterns in your behavior, and to provide a more comprehensive view of your case to your therapist

Initial assessment and getting to know your therapist: you will provide some background info about yourself, we will address your expectations from therapy, and you’ll get to know your therapist
Gaining awareness: you will develop awareness of your pulling behaviors, and learn to better recognize and understand your compulsion, and how it affects your life.
Reducing and Stopping hair pulling: you will learn various techniques on how to reduce, replace, manage and ultimately stop your hair pulling compulsion.
Dealing With Your Urges to Pull: you will learn acceptance and mindfulness strategies, that will prepare you to deal with your compulsive urges the right way.
Living Life to the Fullest: with the help of your therapist you will try to realize what really is important for you in your life, you will set goals for the future, and will learn effective relapse strategies to prevent your compulsion from ruling your life ever again.

I would definitely recommend this program to someone else with a hair pulling habit. It has really helped me and I would want them to be able to get help and get their habit under control. Though it was embarrassing and uncomfortable to examine my habit so closely, it is important and has helped me.
