Dana specializes in treating anxiety disorders such as: Gereralized Anxiety, Social Phobia, Specific Phobias, and Selective Mutism. In addition, She works with children as young as 4, and adults struggling with Trichotillomania and Excoriation, or skin picking disorder. She obtained training and certification in effect CBT-based treatment of hair pulling and skin picking disorder. She implement CBT, collaborative problem solving, and social thinking in treating children with ADHD, Autism Spectrum, and delays in self regulation. Prior to joining Northwest Behavior Health Services as a full time clinician, Dana worked as a school psychologist and enjoy informing parents on advocating for their children in educational settings. For example, how schools can accommodate students with a 504 Plan versus an Individualized Education Plan.
Dana applies cognitive behavioral therapy, problem solving, habit reversal training, and the ComB model to treat trichotillomania and other BFRBs. In addition, she has years of experience working with children on the autism spectrum using social thinking and she specializes in social anxiety, separation anxiety, and panic disorder.
