Dr. Albert Bonfil is an expert in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for skin picking as well as a variety of other disorders. He has taught CBT in graduate training programs throughout Southern California, and has bee a core faculty member at The American School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Bonfil has taught and supervised graduate students at UCLA, USC, Cal State Long Beach, and Pepperdine University. Dr. Bonfil was a fellow at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he served as the assistant director of the CBT outpatient clinic. He has received advanced training in CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBASP, and mindfulness-based therapies. As Director of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Los Angeles, he provides individual CBT and supervises postdoctoral fellows in CBT.
