Might help for others
Post:

Hello,

I have been pulling for over 10 years off at the back top of my scalp and on and so far only one medication has really helped at this point. Might not work for everyone but Minoxidil Hair Regrowth Treatment seemed to help with the itching on my scalp that makes me want to pull. I'm not sure how well it helped my hair actually regrow but it did help numb the area and keep me from touching it, especially right after I put the drops on since I don't have the urges when my hair is damp.

Thanks! The one question I have is it supposed to be for naturally balding spots as opposed to self-inflicted bald spots?

I have been applying itch creams (some combination of benadryl generic equivalent or hydrocortisone) each night for the past week before going to bed + taking 5000 mcg biotin pills [to try to improve hair growth and damage nails] and so far have not been scratching/pulling for one week, but will definitely consider Monixidil if that works better.

I don't think it is for natural bold spots. More for thinning hair so I would think it works for self inflicted. Makes it a little greasy so u don't like to touch it but did help with itching. Has the hydrocortisone help?

At first I used hydrocortisone, but now I'm using more benadryl itch cream. They both have vaseline-like base and the results have been somewhat similar for me. I'm on day 7 of not pulling/scratching as the spot is indeed greasy.

I will go buy Minoxidil as well and give it a try. I'm trying to regrow the hair by Oct 7 for my friend's wedding. [I've been using biotin supplements since I have a purple toe from tennis injury and bad fingernails from handling equipment at work.]

Good advice! I will have to try some of your products too. Thanks!
