Eyelashes

Kcmk....I am 50 years old...I have been pulling my eyelashes out since I was 5. I had a terrible childhood because of this...no friends. They never grew back all the way. I always felt like a freak. Ruined my life!

Hello

I'm truly sorry to hear about the distress you've experienced due to eyelash pulling. It's incredibly tough to carry such a burden for so long, and it's understandable how this could have impacted your life and self-perception.

Your feelings are valid, and it's important to acknowledge the impact it has had on your self-esteem and experiences. It's never easy to carry a habit that affects self-image and relationships.

Please know that you are not alone in this; many individuals have similar struggles and feelings of isolation. Forums, virtual support groups, and online community groups are a great place to connect with others. As challenging as it may seem, seeking support from a therapist who specializes in these behaviours could be beneficial. They can offer strategies to cope with the emotional aspects and work towards finding acceptance and healing.

You deserve support and understanding, and taking steps towards self-care and seeking help is a powerful way to reclaim your life.

Wishing you well on your healing journey.
