I have been dealing this on and off for about 5 years now but recently it's gotten worse. Most articles/self help things I've read say that this normally develops out of trauma, anxiety, etc. but I was not in any situation like this when I started, nor when the habit picked up again. I'm curious as to whether or not what I have is a different disorder/form or if I subconsciously started for another reason.
